Intermac America recently sponsored the 2018 Floform Golf Classic benefiting the Autism Society of Oregon at Druids Glen Golf Club in Covington, WA.
A full field of 144 golfers participated in this year’s tournament, according to Golf Corporate Solutions Managing Member Scott Taffera, who has served as organizer of the event since its inception four years ago. Taffera noted that the tournament has raised approximately $70,000 during that time.
“We continued to add new sponsors such as Intermac in the fourth year and the amount of sponsorships has increased dramatically,” Taffera said. “This event sold out at the beginning of May. It had never sold out before let alone a month before the event. That’s very exciting and encouraging going forward.”
Intermac Product Area Manager Steve Wygal participated in the tournament for the first time this year. Floform, a leading manufacturer of countertops in North America, is among the many Intermac customers that Wygal serves in the Pacific Northwest and Canada.
“It’s great for Intermac to sponsor an event like this because it benefits such a worthy cause,” Wygal said. “The tournament was very well organized and it was nice to continue building relationships with our friends at Floform. We look forward to supporting both the event and Autism Society of Oregon again in the future.”
Founded in Winnipeg, Manitoba, in 1961, Floform has a major operations hub just south of Seattle in Kent, WA. The company recently purchased a Montresor Vela 7.2 Edge Polisher from Wygal with installation scheduled for early June.
