Biesse and Cosentino: technological synergy for innovative surfaces

On the occasion of Inside, scheduled to take place from 17 to 21 April in Pesaro, Cosentino Group - a world leader in the production and distribution of innovative surfaces for the world of architecture and design - will collaborate with Biesse by making Silestone® and Dekton® surfaces available for the Biesse Stone processing technologies.

During the four-day event dedicated to the stone industry, Biesse Stone's cutting and polishing technologies and machining centres will show how to carry out various machining operations on Cosentino surfaces.

The following machines will be in action in the showroom, providing demonstrations for customers:

  • the Smart 625 bridge saw, the Genius RS-A cutting bench for sintered materials and the Primus 402 waterjet cutting system for cutting operations;
  • the Vela 7.2 vertical flat edge polisher and the Faster 64 horizontal flat edge polisher for polishing;
  • the Master 38.5 and Master 33.3 + ROS machining centres;
  • the S-A classifier for intralogistics.

An overview of Cosentino materials

Cosentino’s Dekton® is a revolutionary and innovative ultra-compact surface created by the Cosentino Group for the world of architecture and design. Dekton® is a sophisticated blend of raw materials such as glass, next generation porcelain materials and quartz. It’s made using the unique 'TSP' particle sintering technology, which involves an innovative ultra-compacting process. It has superior technical properties: resistance to ultraviolet rays, scratches, stains and thermal shock, as well as very low water absorption. It can recreate any type of material with a high level of quality; it’s produced in large format sheets (up to approx. 320 cm x 144 cm) and in five different thicknesses (0.4 cm, 0.8 cm, 1.2 cm, 2 cm and 3 cm). Dekton® is the perfect surface for a wide range of both indoor and outdoor applications (facades, floors, facings, tops, sinks, etc.).

Silestone® is the most advanced and sustainable hybrid surface of premium minerals and recycled materials on the market, made with the unique and innovative HybriQ® technology.

This high-tech material boasts excellent resistance to stains, knocks and scratches, as well as low liquid absorption.
